TERRIE'S LATEST BOOK A HIT
Terrie, fresh off her nine-city, national book tour for "A Plentiful Harvest: Creating Balance and Harmony Through the Seven Living Virtues," continues to visit bookstores around the country to sign copies of her latest book.
In "A Plentiful Harvest" Terrie provides an inspirational guide to help women who are seeking fulfillment in their lives. Terrie, a high-powered public relations executive and co-founder of The Stay Strong Foundation—a national non-profit geared to support, educate and inspire America’s youth—has found an empowering life philosophy in Kwanzaa, one of Black culture’s enduring spiritual rituals. Using the seven Living Virtues of Calling, Responsibility, Thrift, Love, Community, Spirituality and Creativity, Terrie helps women achieve balance in their daily lives, reconnecting them to the truths of their heritage and the true needs of their souls.
Says Terrie, “Over the years I realized that I was losing sight of the things we should value in our lives. And I know that many, many women are trying to figure out how to get off the merry-go-round, or how to get out of ‘the eye of the storm.’ They may think they’re alone, but they definitely aren’t. I don't have all the answers, but I do know one thing…that there is strength and renewal in the sharing of our individual stories and testimonies. As we hunger for a path toward our own freedom, we know that if one of us isn't free none of us are.”
In "A Plentiful Harvest" Terrie offers readers the time and space to nurture their finances, their families, their relationships, their bodies, and, most important of all, their whole selves. Each Virtue is the focus of seven weeks of in-depth exploration, including weekly journal exercises designed to help women begin achieving health and harmony in their lives.
"A Plentiful Harvest" includes forewords by Iyanla Vanzant and ESSENCE magazine editorial director Susan L. Taylor.
